Default [SOLVED] Rebuild logger database (ZCS 6.0.1 NE)

    Hi everybody.

We are working with a testing environment in order to perform a zimbra upgrade from 5.0.16 NE to 6.0.1 NE.
After restoring a full backup on this environment, we have performed an in-place upgrade.
Everything is working but logger service. Folder /opt/zimbra/logger/data has dissapeared (in fact i don't know if it has dissapeared due to upgrade or has never worked after restoring backup).

Question is: how do I rebuild logger database in ZCS 6.0.1?
In 5.0.X we followed a procedure that is not valid with 6.0.1

    Thanks in advance.

I think but have not tried
    Code:
    su - zimbra
    zmlogger stop
    rm -rf /opt/zimbra/logger/db/data/*
    zmlogger start
That will remove the SQLite database and all the RRDs.

    Thank you.

Finally the problem was located at /var/log/zimbra-stats.log. This file had not been created and process was unable to run.
    A simple:

    Code:
    touch /var/log/zimbra-stats.log
    chown zimbra:zimbra /var/log/zimbra-stats.log
    su - zimbra
    zmloggerctl start

was enought to put logger online again.

Not sure if that works. I generally run zmloggerinit script to reinitialize logger database. This off course wipes out old data.

    You need to run :-

    /opt/zimbra/libexec/zmloggerinit ${mysql_logger_root_password}

    for reinitializing database.

Correct ... In V6 it is as per my post ... Part of the zmlogger script is to initialise the SQLite and RRDs.

I had hoped that this thread would solve the logger/stat problem but it didnt for me. I did see where zmlogger is in 6.0 but I could not get it to run as a zimbra user or a sudo user. I get command not found. Maybe that is part of my problem then.
