    Post postfix is not running

    Just installed zimbra 3.1.0 on Fedracore3
    i have a install problem as follows

    [zimbra@localhost conf]$ zmcontrol status
    Host localhost.localdomain
    antispam Running
    antivirus Running
    ldap Running
    logger Running
    mailbox Running
    mta Stopped
    postfix is not running
    snmp Running
    spell Running

    [zimbra@localhost conf]$ postfix start
    postfix/postfix-script: warning: not owned by root: /opt/zimbra/postfix-2.2.9/conf/main.cf
    postfix/postfix-script: starting the Postfix mail system

    Any suggestions?

    Any manual changes to that file? Did you try fixing the permissions so it's owned by root?

    This may be stupid, but doesn't it run even if its not owned by root?

    I can't remember

    BTW: you may want to move away from FC3 as 3.1 will be the last release for it.
