Default Regarding : All mails are going to Spam instead of Inbox

    Hi
i am using Ubuntu operating system
and i have installed zimbra mail server 6.0 package
the installation and configure of mail server was completed
    successfully.

but when i send any mail to gmail or yahoo or any other mail id's
the mail which i have sent is going to spam instead of inbox
but when i send mail from gmail or yahoo i can receive it in inbox.
i am using airtel service provider internet - home plan.

can any one suggest me why this mail is going to spam instead of inbox.

    Thanks in Advance.

Do you have a valid DNS reverse lookup record for your domain ? are you on a static or dynamic IP ?

    That does not look right.
Some mail providers check that the reverse dns entry matches your IP address. So if your mail server is called mail.domain.com and your have a public ip address of 1.2.3.4, then the ip address of 1.2.3.4 must resolve back to mail.domain.com for it to be valid.

The ip address you posted looks to be your internal private ip of 10.0.0.1, which is not the one you need to be checking.

Check your domain at pingability.com and see what comes back for your mail servers.

That is a non-routable IP address so I guess you are using a split DNS ?

Just checked and the reverse record for your public IP is pointing to your domain name and not the actual ZCS server. This is probably why it is being dropped in the SPAM bucket.

As said I imagine you are running a split DNS setup due to being behind a firewall ? And as Dirk has said check pingability.com as I know you external facing IPs reverse record points to your domain name and not the MTA
