Our Zimbra Free Edition has has this really persistent logger problem. Whenever we log into the admin console, we will be prompted about the logger error. We have to keep killing the logger processes to get the logger to work again. But after a few day, it will come back.
We also receive 2 emails from Zimbra everyday regarding the logger problem:
Subject: Service logger started on xxx.xxx.xxx
Oct 23 03:57:36 home zimbramon: 32292:err: Service status change: xxx.xxx.xxx logger changed from stopped to running
Subject: Service logger stopped on xxx.xxx.xxx
Oct 23 03:58:51 home zimbramon: 32292:err: Service status change: xxx.xxx.xxx logger changed from running to stopped
Any solution to resolve this once for all?
