Default Failure communicating with remote server. cannot modify immutable object: 293

    Dear All,

Im facing the following error after pressing send/receive:

    "Failure communicating with remote server."

However I can see all my mail and it works well.

And also, When I try to select email-id using contact picker, the following error occurs.

"com.zimbra.cs.mailbox.MailServiceException: cannot modify immutable object: 293"

Kindly see the attached snapshots and log file taken from mailbox.log.

    Thanks in advance,
    AK Louis

I assume this is a Zimbra server Web UI problem not Zimbra Desktop (which is where you've posted it)? I'll move this to the correct forum.

Update your forum profile with the output of the following commands (do not post it in this thread):

    Code:
    zmcontrol -v

What is the content of the account on the ZCS?
Is it the import/restore of a zDesktop export/backup?

Hi Klug... Thanks 4 ur response....

See the attached content(Config.) of the account....

And of-course it is the import/restore data (from backup) after a recent crash.

I can send/receive mails and everything is in place, except the above said error.

Kindly help me to get rid of this issue..

    Thanks Klug..

I feel it is a ZDesktop exception, clearly says OfflineMailbox in exception.
Can you try disabling convertd and see if you still see this exception ?

What kind of backup was it?
Was it a zDesktop backup restored directly in ZCS?

If this is the case, explanations and solution are here :

    hi Klug,

I feel it is the problem with particular folder (Object ID 293).
When Im trying to remove that particular folder with ID 293 using zmmailbox command, it says "cannot modify immutable object".

Is there any way to forcibly remove that folder. It is an empty folder with the name "Error Reports"

    Klug,

Since there are more than 50 subfolders, it is quite difficult export and import it...

So, kindly tell me if there is any chance to delete these folders from zcs although they are marked as immutable (maybe via command line or something...)?
