    Default Duplicate Sent emails

    Running 5.0.19 OpenSource on RedHat
    Small server, 15 users


    All has been stable for the past couple of years

    I recently had (2) Verizon/Motorola droid phones (android OS) start using their Zimbra accounts via IMAP.

    This behavior only happens on emails sent from the droids, but any email sent show as repeated duplicate emails. To the point where the last week has produced >10,000 duplicate emails (from ~10 original sent emails from the devices).

    Only one email actually leaves the server to the destination, but hundreds/thousands of duplicates show up in the sent file and take up space.

    They keep repeating hour after hour, day after day, and I haven't found a way to kill it.

    Anyone have any ideas?

    This issue has been discussed in the Zimbra Mobile forums. I don't have an answer on how to stop it, but maybe if you post there someone who has run into it will know what to do. My only guess would be to kill the email account on the Droid.

    BTW, there is mention in at least one of the posts in the Mobile forum that this issue will be fixed in 5.0.21, which should be released soon. Also, because of this issue I've been using "k-9 mail" on my Droid (free app), and it does not have this problem with IMAP.

    An upgrade to 5.0.21 and then 6.0.4 solved the duplicate sent email issue.

    All is well.

    By that do you mean that the problem was solved after you upgraded to 5.0.21? Or did you need to go all the way to 6.0.4 to get this fixed?
