    Default Upgrade Path Help

My System is way out of date.
Running Opensuse 10.0 with Zimbra 4.5.11

What would be the easiest migration path at this point?

I know how to move zimbra to a new server and have installed Ubuntu 8.04LTS on a different box. But now that I have done that there is not a clear upgrade path to OS version due to the fact there is no 4.5.11 for Ubuntu 8.04LTS.

Please don't tell me I will have to install Ubuntu 6.06 and 4 .5.11, then upgrade this machine to 5.0.9.

Then on the old machine install Ubuntu 8.04 with Zimbra 5.09 then upgrade this box to 5.0.20, then back it up and

On the new box install Ubutnu 8.04 with 5.0.20 restore from my old backup then upgrade to the latest version of Zimbra 6?

There has to be a better way.

What is the size of your installation eg. number of mailboxes; is it a multi-server installation ? If you would also update your profile with
    Code:
    su - zimbra
    zmcontrol -v
    that would help aswell

    Release 4.5.11_GA_1751.SuSE10_20080128132723 SuSE10 FOSS edition

The size of the installation is very small office 25 users, across 4 virtual domains.

With an installation that small, you might be better off to just install the newest version of Zimbra on your new server with the OS you want and use something like imapsync to bring the users' mailboxes over. Then just export the address books and calendars and re-import.

I was thinking about that way but what about the passwords and such of the current user base is there a way to migrate those?

Anyone have any links or instructions for exporting my users contacts and calendars? I have been through the admin console and searched the forums but can't seem to find much.

I think I found how to export so nevermind that issue but keeping the passwords the same.
