Just to be clear, coz i think this might be my problem. the following line

zmprov mcf zimbraDomainMandatoryMailSignatureHTML "<html><body>some body text"</body><html>"

    shouldnt the end part be:

    "<html><body> some text </body></html>"

with the "" outside the html tags, and the </html> tag at the end and not just <html>?

most people who visit this page im sure will copy and paste the commands. if the commands have typos, that could be where most of the isssues arise from.

This is not working for me. No disclaimer was added ;/ Neither html or text

    zimbra@poczta:/root$ zmprov gcf zimbraDomainMandatoryMailSignatureEnabled
    zimbraDomainMandatoryMailSignatureEnabled: TRUE
    zimbra@poczta:/root$ zmprov gcf zimbraDomainMandatoryMailSignatureText
    zimbraDomainMandatoryMailSignatureText: some text
    zimbra@poczta:/root$ zmprov gcf zimbraDomainMandatoryMailSignatureHtml
    zimbraDomainMandatoryMailSignatureHtml: <html><body>test</body></html>

I've restarted zimbra by /etc/init.d/zimbra restart. I even have some reboot after that

My instalation is Debian 5.0 and Zimbra OpenSource 6.0.5

    Any ideas?

Try not putting the <html><body> tags around your message, it's being added to an html file, the body and html tags are already there. Try it with just a span or a div and see what happens.

    zmprov mcf zimbraDomainMandatoryMailSignature TRUE/FALSE
    zmprov mcf zimbraDomainMandatoryMailSignatureText "disclaimer text"
    zmprov mcf zimbraDomainMandatoryMailSignatureHTML "<html><body>disclaimer html</body><html>"

I also executed these commands and then restarted the mail system with zmcontrol start/stop

The disclaimer was not added to outgoing mail. I checked the commands were set to the correct value just as the user above and the values were correct.

My install is CentOS 5.4 and Network Edition 6.0.5
