Default Zimbra not sending Some messages

    Hi there

I'm having an intermittent problem sending email and I'm not sure if it's a bandwidth/server horsepower issue or if something else is going on.

I sometimes send a message and get a "Desktop Notifier" failure notification back from Zimbra Desktop:

Your Message "zzzzzz" send on Feb. 3, 2010 at xxxx to "soandso@somedomain.com" can't be delivered. None of the recipients will receive the message. It has been returned to Drafts folder for your review.

The email address is correct each time and after 1 or 2 or 3 attemtps to resend, it finally goes out successfully.

This problem only happens occassionally. Most of the time it works though obviously this will be a big problem for clients.

I have Zimbra installed on a testing server with 3 GB of ram and a single 2.8 ghz Xeon 604 800fsb with hyperthreading on ESXi. A little underpowered to be sure and it often maxes out the CPU. I'm also on a standard office connect with 20MB in and only 1MB out. I'm planning on moving this to a dual Xeon 604 800fsb on ESXi and over to our server farm with a 100 MB connection.

I'm using the latest Network Edition of Zimbra without zimbra-memcached and running multiple domains. I'm also using 1.03x Zimbra Desktop.

The server is behind a firewall with 192.168.10.1 gateway and has an internal IP of 192.168.10.xx.

All that said, I can't tell if it is the server/connection or something in the software failing.

    Here's the log output:

Can anyone offer some insight into what is happening based on what the logs are saying or offer some other insight into this?
I need to figure this out quickly.

    Thanks
    Glenn

I moved the server to a much faster machine with faster connection last night and I'm still having the same problem.

I did encounter some problems sending with webmail last week though I didn't have any problems sending via webmail over the weekend. I'll use webmail today and see if I encounter any problems.

I am beginning to think it's a zdesktop issue but I can't be sure.

    thx for the reply.

Ooops! I just got this message from webmail:

Message not sent; one or more addresses were not accepted.
    Rejected addresses: xxxxxx xxxx <xxx@somedomain.com>

It did send after a couple of tries. This is what I was getting last week with webmail.

    thx

Default ZD2 Give more detailed error message

I installed ZD2 Beta and just got this message. Much more detailed than ZD1:

You're having the same problem with which product, exactly?

Please update your forum profile with the output of the following command (do not post the output in this thread):

    Code:
    zmcontrol -v
You should also give ful details of what the problem is and exact steps to reproduce it.
