Default [SOLVED] Restore single account PIT

Hello, I'm trying to restore a single account, to a specific point in time (PIT). I am doing this through the GUI. When doing so, I specify the PIT that I want it restored to. When the restore is complete, I'm left with the account restored to last nights backup (not the backup from 2 weeks ago like I want).

I specifically specified a date in time, that the restore did not obey. Any idea what I'm doing wrong here?

Thanks

what version are you using? you should put the output of zmcontrol -v in your profile so people know.

Have you tried using teh command line just to see if that works? It may produce some error or info that may explain too. Although I thought the web client would show errors like if it can't find the backup redologs or something necessary.

Do you have other full backups after the PIT you're looking for? One thing you could try is to move the other fulls out of the backup path for now and see if you can force it just to see the one you want.

Like say you have

full week 1
incr 1
incr 2
incr 3 (PIT)
incr 4
full week 2
incr 1
incr 2
etc...

move full week 2 and all it's incrementals into a like /opt/zimbra/backup/.sav dir and then try

Hi, thanks for the reply. I'm running 5.0.13. I have run this from CLI, and get the same result. No errors or oddities on the output unfortunately. I don't have any other fulls past the PIT that I need unfortunately, so I can move others out unfortunately. Any other ideas?

I just got this solved, following the instructions here:

CLI zmrestore restoreToTime Network Edition only - Zimbra :: Wiki

I ran:
zmrestore -s server.domain.com -a user@domain.com -restoreToTime <timeArgument> -lb full-200xxxxxx -ca -pre restored_

It looks like there is an issue with 5.0.13 that was fixed in 5.0.16 that is noted in this bugzilla:

Bug 33135 – unable to restore to point in time/incremental

Damn, that took a while to figure out. Yuck.
