    Default External Application Authentication

So I found the wiki page, http://wiki.zimbra.com/index.php?title=LDAP_Apache

I am not an LDAP guy, so forgive my ignorance. How might I be able to have it search all domains (if I have multiple domains stored on the box)

    As opposed to doing:

    AuthType Basic
    AuthName DDInternal
    AuthLDAPURL ldap://yourzimbraserver/dc=yourdomain,dc=com
    require valid-user
if I had like 10 domains to look through, what could I do to have it search all ten as opposed to the single domain above?

    Thanks
    Greg

    Default mod_auth_ldap for multiple domains

    See:
    http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.0/mod...ml#authldapurl

    In particular this quote:
It's a good idea to choose an attribute that will be unique across all entries in the subtree you will be using.

So if you have a policy that keeps zimbraMailDeliveryAddress unique across all domains, this should work:
    AuthLDAPUrl ldap://zimbra.example.com:389/?zimbraMailDeliveryAddress
