    Question Auto-accepting shares for users

    Hi everyone

Is there a way to add a shared resource to a users account without them having to accept the share request?

It would be great if I could just "push" shared folders/calendars/address books out without the user(s) having to do anything.
Is this where the zmmailbox CLI command comes in?

    Cheers, B

yeah. zmmailbox modifyFolderGrant is used to modify share access (the equivelant of someone right clicking on a folder and selecting share). Then zmmailbox createMountPoint is what you use to mount a shared folder/addressbook/whatever to another account

    Ok that's excellent
Is there a way to stop users removing shares from their mailbox?

I guess you could write a script that will walk through all the accounts and restore any shares they've dismounted. But that seems like a waste in many ways. Note that ZCS 6 offers a couple features to simplify sharing.

First, you can see what a given user has shared with you simply by entering their address under Preferences>Sharing.

Second, you can see any shares that have been "published" to a distribution list that you belong to, in the same interface. About "publishing" a share, see http://www.zimbra.com/forums/adminis...haring-dl.html
