    Default Force redo log rollover

Is there a SOAP operation that will force a redo log rollover?

No SOAP operation that I know of, but I'm no expert. Why not use zmplayredo?

I want to force a redo log rollover so I can snapshot them off to a remote location in the middle of the day - without stopping the server.

    Only thing I've ever found:
5.0.x Network Edition Backup and Restore - Zimbra :: Wiki
Perhaps it's of use, sorry I couldn't help any further.

There's nothing wrong with copying an active redolog. It can still be replayed--see http://www.zimbra.com/forums/adminis...tml#post113551

I know, but I want to force a rollover, move the old one to a new directory, and get it out of the way completely.

There are a couple attributes that you can set via zmprov that limit the size of the redolog before it gets rolled over. Not very well documented, see http://www.zimbra.com/forums/adminis...-log-file.html

But I don't know how to force a rollover ad-hoc or at a specific point in time. Another attribute I just found via zmprov | grep -i roll is zimbraRedoLogRolloverMinFileAge, but that sounds like it would do the opposite of what you're looking for.
