Sometimes asking helps me to think:
1. added domain xyz.org
2. added alias for each user: firstname.lastname@example.org of email@example.com
Now tbird+lightning sees availability for firstname.lastname@example.org when I type in email@example.com
Hello All, need help, tearing out my hair,
Small company, we are using Zimbra 6.0.6 FOSS
authentication via AD on Win 2003 (internal domain xyz.ca)
access via thunderbird + lighting for calendar.
zimbra is not hosting email, that is offsite xyz.org
have an smtp server on another box that has a virtual domain & maps the
firstname.lastname@example.org to email@example.com so that invites & responses to calendars go to the correct inbox
internal domain firstname.lastname@example.org is calendar owner & logon to zimbra
Problem: when we use lightning to schedule meetings we are only able to get availabilty if we use the internal domain name email@example.com
Is there any way to have lightning/zimbra accept firstname.lastname@example.org and map it to the calendar for availability? Or do I have to educate everyone to use email@example.com for calendar.
Any help would be appreciated.
