Sometimes asking helps me to think:
1. added domain xyz.org
2. added alias for each user: email@example.com of firstname.lastname@example.org
Now tbird+lightning sees availability for email@example.com when I type in firstname.lastname@example.org
Hello All, need help, tearing out my hair,
Small company, we are using Zimbra 6.0.6 FOSS
authentication via AD on Win 2003 (internal domain xyz.ca)
access via thunderbird + lighting for calendar.
zimbra is not hosting email, that is offsite xyz.org
have an smtp server on another box that has a virtual domain & maps the
email@example.com to firstname.lastname@example.org so that invites & responses to calendars go to the correct inbox
internal domain email@example.com is calendar owner & logon to zimbra
Problem: when we use lightning to schedule meetings we are only able to get availabilty if we use the internal domain name firstname.lastname@example.org
Is there any way to have lightning/zimbra accept email@example.com and map it to the calendar for availability? Or do I have to educate everyone to use firstname.lastname@example.org for calendar.
Any help would be appreciated.
