    i believe you can specify the encryption to use, take a look at this link for an example

    AFAIK MD5, CRYPT, CLEARTEXT and SHA1 are the LDAP defaults. Since Zimbra stores passwords in LDAP this should apply for Zimbra too. Have a look at man page slappasswd section 8

    I tried with the crypt password of my /etc/shadow and its works fine.
    But the others accounts are in other crypt method of type:

    Code:
    userPassword:: e0NSWVBUfXVxVVlUUjRQcXh6UW8=
    And I don't know how can set this passwords without modified the LDAP.

    The next would be syncronized the mailboxes using imapsync but I don't know if we can used it with crypt passwords.

    Anybody can helps me ?

    Thanks

    Finally I could resolv the problems with the creating password in CRYPT method using zmprov ma user@domain.com userPassword '{crypt}sadaaisdo3··$arf%'However I have to see if its possible with MD5

    Now the problem that I have is how I can to synchronize the mails boxes using imapsync and the passwords in crypt format.

    I don't know if you can use crypt passwords in crypt format with imapsync, if not, anybody know any solution ???

    thanks!
