Default [SOLVED] upgrade 6.0.8 to 7.0 beta

i'm considering an upgrade to try out the new beta. for anyone reading this, please let me know if you have successfully upgraded to the beta.

also, i would like to know what is the status of the IM server? does beta still include an IM server, or will i have to install one myself?

the release notes don't make mention of it, so it's unclear to me.

Yes, I've upgraded a Zimbra 6.x to a beta 7 without problems and the IM server is there for the moment and you can follow the status on this bug report and the Product Portal. I would advise you, however, to not upgrade a working production server with this as it's considered beta software and if it eats all your data and your computer blows-up you're responsible - run it in a test environment first and take adequate backups and have a working disaster recovery in place (if you don't already).
