I've gone through the docs for setting up Zimbra proxying. I've converted my sole monolithic server to add a proxy, and stood up a new mailbox server as a test. My intentions are that if all goes well, I begin migrating mailboxes.
However: I received a piece of email that looks like this:
Dec 15 01:56:02 zimbra zimbramon: 15167:err: Service status change: zimbra.ser.ver imapproxy changed from running to stopped
(server name obfuscated to protect the innocent)
"zmcontrol status" shows everything running. Checking the state of nginx on the server shows it all still running. Mail is still readable via the web interface and an IMAPS client.
So: do I worry? Did the imapproxy service really stop? What might have caused this message? Is there anything I can do/tune to make this not happen?
