In anticipation of moving our production server form Ubuntu 6.06 (32b) to 10.04(64), I've been trying to migrate our test server(fully functional) from 6.06 to 8.04 (don't have 64 bit hardware available at test site so have to go to 8.04 32 bit).
I have tried both the of the following methods:
Moving ZCS to New Server - Zimbra :: Wiki
Network Edition: Moving from 32-bit to 64-bit Server - Zimbra :: Wiki
Either way, I end up with mailboxd not running. The only error information I have been able to locate in the logs comes form zmmailboxd.out:
I have tried with a new hostname, and with the exact same hostname/IP. DNS tests answer correctly (DNS is served by local MS server and modified accordingly).
Zimbra server reserving server socket port=110 bindaddr=null ssl=false
Zimbra server reserving server socket port=995 bindaddr=null ssl=true
Fatal error: exception while binding to ports
java.net.SocketException: Unbound server sockets not implemented
I have scoured the forums but have yet been able to find a solution.
OS on new machine appears ok, ,as fresh install will operate fine. Only after copying over data from old machine and appying ldap etc is it broken...
This server is using self signed certs, so I wouldn't' think that should cause the problem, but as the error appears after the reserving port 995 message I wonder if it is related...
