    Question zmslapcat: LDAP Backup in one file

    Hi all!

    Is it possible to join the ldap.bak and ldap-config.bak, generated by /opt/zimbra/libexec/zmslapcat, in only one file preserving the backup integrity?

    e.g.:

    Backup:
    Code:
    root@z1:~# /opt/zimbra/libexec/zmslapcat -c /opt/zimbra/backup/

    root@z1:~# /opt/zimbra/libexec/zmslapcat /opt/zimbra/backup/

    root@z1:~# ls -l /opt/zimbra/backup/
    total 1288
    -rw-r----- 1 zimbra zimbra 190853 2011-02-14 15:28 ldap.bak
    -rw-r----- 1 zimbra zimbra 190853 2011-02-14 15:28 ldap.bak.20110214152804
    -rw-r----- 1 zimbra zimbra 457962 2011-02-14 15:28 ldap-config.bak
    -rw-r----- 1 zimbra zimbra 457962 2011-02-14 15:28 ldap-config.bak.20110214152829

    root@z1:~# cat /opt/zimbra/backup/ldap-config.bak >> /opt/zimbra/backup/ldap.bak
    Restore:
    Code:
    root@z1:~# /opt/zimbra/openldap/sbin/slapadd -q -b "" -F /opt/zimbra/data/ldap/config -l /opt/zimbra/backup/ldap.bak

    Exclamation

    /opt/zimbra/libexec/zmslapcat is a bash script...

    Reading it, I got these two lines:

    Code:
    ${zimbra_home}/openldap/sbin/slapcat -F ${zimbra_home}/data/ldap/config -n 0 -l ${DEST}/${FILE}

    ${zimbra_home}/openldap/sbin/slapcat -F ${zimbra_home}/data/ldap/config -b "" -l ${DEST}/${FILE}
    The second command creates a full backup of zimbra´s ldap database (including config database)? Which means, the output of the second command contains the output of the first command?
