    Default [SOLVED] Changing Zimbra 7.0 Login Screen

    Hey guys,

    I have seen this posted for previous zimbra versions, but there really isn't anything on how to change the theme of the login screen for the Collaboration Server 7.0. Any help on this would be greatly appreciate. I tried following some of the older tutorials but since files are different, that didn't seem to work. I don't want to change the logo or anything, just want to change the client login page to a different theme. The "carbon" theme seems so drag. We like the "bare" theme the most and would like our login page to reflect that theme.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,

    One simple kill-all solution:

    Code:
    cd /opt/zimbra/jetty/webapps/zimbra/skins
    mv carbon CARBON
    ln -s bare carbon
    zmprov flushCache skin carbon
    ...before carbon there was beach and I never could find a way to change the default skin. Save for the few colors and logo changes that the admin console lets you do, but it wasn't the solution to my problem(s) when I had to do this. Though I like the look of carbon.

    Default Edit zimbra.web.xml.in

    The default theme for zimbraAdmin, zimbra and zimlets are all set using a config file for the web application.

    look in jetty/etc/zimbra.web.xml.in

    <context-param>
    <param-name>zimbraDefaultSkin</param-name>
    <param-value>carbon</param-value>
    </context-param>

    Replace carbon with your skin name.

    This is actually the beginnings of what will enable per virtual hostname default skins.

    This is not working for me in 7.1.4...

    Also, how do I change the image used in the top right corner of the login box on the carbon theme?

    THanks

    We just did this in 7.1.4.

    cd /opt/zimbra/jetty/webapps/zimbra/skins
    mv carbon CARBON
    ln -s bare carbon
    zmprov flushCache skin carbon

    That worked for us. Also, you might have to clear browser cache/cookies in order to see the changes.

    This didn't work for us, and it broke the admin console! I left town for a week, and Zimbra support had to fix it while I was away...

    I'd still like to know the proper way to change the login screen skins....
