    Question Active Directory SSL performance

I'm using Zimbra with Authentication on Active Directory
If i use Authentication on port 389 zimbra responds fast
but as soon as i switch on SSL with certificate on port 636 the respons is very slow
I wonder if is good to use 389 since i prefer not give clear access to my Active Directory
There is some parameter to change to improove my SSL connection?
