    Default Whitelist Several Domains

    We just upgraded to "Release 7.1.0_GA_3140.RHEL5_64_20110329150833 RHEL5_64 FOSS edition." We use to maintain a list of about 50 domains in /opt/zimbra/conf/whitelist and inside amavisd.conf.in I had the lines:

    Code:
    read_hash(\%whitelist_sender, '/opt/zimbra/conf/whitelist');
    read_hash(\%blacklist_sender, '/opt/zimbra/conf/blacklist');
    After the upgrade I replaced the whitelist/blacklist files and added in the two lines about as before. I restarted the antispam server: "zmamavisdctl restart" . This did not seem to work as many crucial mails are getting flagged as SPAM even though they are in our whitelist.

    I've been reading docs and Googling but I can't find a straight answer. Is there a simple solution to this? I have a client urging me to fix this so I'd appreciate any and all assistance. Links to up-to-date wiki articles would be very helpful.

    Thanks!

    I found this in the individual user preferences area. (See attachment). It lets each user whitelist/blacklist. Is there something similar like this I can do for the entire domain/zimbra server? I have root access to the server and can do it there or via the admin panel. Please, can anyone help with this? Our issue is emails from our very own domain name are getting marked as SPAM.

    Go to the wiki (link at the top of this page) and search for the word 'whitelist'.

    Well I had read the wiki several times it is where I knew how to implement the blacklist/whitelist in the first place.

    Anyway, it appears placing the whitelist/blacklist includes into the amavis.conf.in no longer works because there is no amavis.conf.in in the /opt/zimbra/conf folder. There is a amavisd.conf.in which I attempted to use but it did not work.

    What I finally ended up doing was placing the includes into the amavisd.conf and now our whitelisting/blacklisting works again.

    /opt/zimbra/conf/amavisd.conf
    Code:
    read_hash(\%whitelist_sender, '/opt/zimbra/conf/whitelist');
    read_hash(\%blacklist_sender, '/opt/zimbra/conf/blacklist');

    Jazzhands, thanks for sharing that bit of information. Blacklists/whitelists of domains/accounts can also be done in salocal.cf.in, that needs a restart of zmmtactl and zmamavisdctl.
    I just did a blacklist as
    blacklist_from *@domain.com
