    Default [SOLVED] Alias-Name without @

    Hi @all,

I have a little question. (Presumably it is a really easy question, but I don't know how to ask Google this question)

I want my users not only to write e-mails to "user1@mydomain.com" but also only to "user1". How can I make this?

    Thank you
    Christian

    Christian,

The closest you are going to come to that is allowing the web client to search the GAL and auto-complete.

If you want users to be able to do this from email clients (Thunderbird, Windows Mail, Mac Mail, etc.), this won't be possible.

Either way, addresses will need to be a full email address on the "To" line when it goes into the server, otherwise Postfix won't have a clue.

Thank you for the quick reply.
I will activate the GAL and auto-complete then.
