Default Python module tempfile.py not found

    Release 7.1.2_GA_3268.RHEL6_64_20110804131406 UNKNOWN_64 FOSS edition
    on Centos 6.0(64)

zmconfig will not start. In zmconfigd.log the following is found:

    Code:
Starting zmconfigd...Traceback (most recent call last):
      File "/opt/zimbra/libexec/zmconfigd", line 18, in <module>
        import tempfile
    ImportError: No module named tempfile
In path /opt/zimbra/zimbramon/pylibs some Python modules were found but not the module tempfile.py .

Is there any solution for this problem?

Installing ZCS 7 on CentOS6 works fine for me. Have you installed all of the prerequisites and is this a minimal or 'normal' install?

It was a normal install and the prerequisites are fullfilled, but it was an upgrade from Zimbra 6.x and from Centos 5.3 in one step

What exact steps did you take to do this upgrade? You know that it's almost impossible to get an upgrade from one major version of CentOS to another major version working correctly, don't you? There are warning all over the CentOS forums against doing this, if you try it you're basically on your own for support. You really should install CentOS6 as a clean operating system to avoid any problems like this.

    Default

I made a clean install of Centos 6 in a seperate LVM partition.
Then I restored a backup of /opt/zimbra (Version 6.x) and installed ZCS 7.1.2 on top of this backup.

I had some Perl problems, but they were solved by erasing /opt/zimbra/zimbramon/lib/x86_64-linux-thread-multi from the backup and reinstalling ZCS 7.1.2

I will now try another way.

First step: Upgrade ZCS 6.0.5 to 7.1.2 on the established Centos 5.3

Second step: Upgrade ZCS 7.1.2 from Centos 5 to Centos 6

    I will report.
