Default Export using zmmailbox fails for med-large mail accounts

I am trying to export old mail using the zmmailbox command.

    Command:
    zmmailbox -z -m user@mydomain.comgetRestURL "//?fmt=tgz" > user.tar

ERROR: zclient.IO_ERROR (Unable to get ?fmt=tgz) (cause: java.io.IOException chunked stream ended unexpectedly)

    -or- sometimes I get

ERROR: remote.TIMEOUT (https://myserver.com:7071/service/admin/soap/) (cause: java.net.SocketTimeoutException Read timed out)

I have tried this command with differing fmt (i.e., tar and zip) and still get the same errors. If I use this command on small mail accounts (<500MB), it runs just fine.

Any ideas on how I get this to work with larger mailboxes.

    I am running...Release 7.1.1_GA_3196.RHEL5_64_20110527001604 RHEL5_64 NETWORK edition

    Thanks!
    Tom

    Hello,

I am also running into this problem. Is there any resolution to this? It's very annoying not being able to backup large mailboxes with succes.

    Default

This method works great for getting the tgz file:

    wget --no-check-certificate --http-user='<youraccount@yourdomain.com>' --http-password='<acct password>' -O/tmp/archive.tgz https://<your server>/home/<youraccount@yourdomain.com>/?fmt=tgz

substitute your account info as appropriate

However, if the file is over 4GB (likely) I do not have much luck importing the file back in. I still get the same timeout errors. But at least I can archive the files properly.

No word from zimbra on how to import them back in reliably.

    Good Luck!
    Tom
