Default relaying error message when mail sent via Iphone or samsung galaxy

    Dear All,

This is not a zimbra related issue but will really appreciate if someone out there would help me out.

I am running ZCS 7.1.1 and everything us working fine

now lots of users have I-phones or android based samsung phones and i am having a relaying denied issue

    let me explain.

I set up the iPhone as a imap client but when I send mail it says relaying denied
but I am able to receive mail perfectly
this happens only if the iphone is connected to the phone company via 3G

but if the iphone is connected through my companys wifi it works fine .. I am able to send and receive mail

Is there any settings in the iphone I need to specify.

Once again apprecite your kind reply

    regards

    ben

Connect to port 587 (the correct Submission port) and authenticate (also use SSL) and you'll be able to send mail using your Zimbra server.

actually I was disabling TLS and checking it..
the I phone used to complain if you want to continue without SSL and I used to say yes
    will try your suggestion

    Dear Phoenix and guys,
I did try once again setting the iphone 4 to send and receive mail through my zimbra server

the way I did was settings ==> mail ==> other account ==> choose Imap.

    entered the settings as follows

    name:
    email address:
    description:

    incoming server:

    host name :gave ipaddress
    username: abc123
    password:****

    outgoing server:

    host name: gave ipaddress

    username
    passwd optional

    use ssl yes/no

authentication-- options are password , NTLM , http md5/digest md5 chalenge response

    server port tried using 587..
is there anything I am missing
    apprecite your kind help

dear Guys the problem is solved.
actually wht phoenix said was right regarding the port
actually in the outgoin server I was not putting the username and password and also SSL needs to be check.
did u mean SSL when you said TLS since there is no option for TLS

so all 4 things has to be there and correct that is the port, username and password and ssl on
    else it will not work

    Thanks once again phoenix
