    Default OS upgrades with zimbra..

I have a system running 6.06 LTS and need to get the OS current.
is this how I might do that...

    1 Backup
    2 test the backup (yep)
3 upgrade the os to 8.04 > 10.4 > (what ever is current..)
4 install the appropriate zimbra NE edition for the "current OS" as an upgrade?

    Thanks for your input.
Centos 5.x 64 bit (migrated painfully)

    Zimbra 7.2.x

Running on HP DL380 G8 with raid 10

    48 gb ram

    I propose these steps:
    1 - Using a new server
    2 - Installing new OS
3 - Installing new zimbra (the lastest version if you can)
4 - Migrating data from the old version to the new version
