    Question Understanding kill/tag% and scores

I'm trying to understand how the kill/tag realtes to the scores and the scores to the status. Before Zimbra added dspam we thought we understood it, now we aren't so sure.

    Our setting is 70/33

Based on what I've read in the forums I was under the impression that with this kill/tag ratio a message with over 70 would be discarded, anything between 33 and 70 would go to the junk folder, and anything under 33 would be delivered. I was also under the impression that the numbers realted directly, or close to the spam rating. That a 33 was a 3.3.

I am getting messages delivered with this as the information, can someone decifer it for me?

    X-DSPAM-Result: Spam
    X-DSPAM-Processed: Wed Nov 22 06:51:44 2006
    X-DSPAM-Confidence: 0.7917
    X-DSPAM-Probability: 1.0000

    X-DSPAM-Factors: 15,
    X-Virus-Scanned: amavisd-new at
    X-Spam-Score: 5.946
    X-Spam-Level: *****
    X-Spam-Status: No, score=5.946 tagged_above=-10 required=6.6
    tests=[BAYES_99=3.5, DSPAM_SPAM=0.5, RCVD_IN_NJABL_DUL=1.946]

    Thanks,

    Question

Not really. I get that 5.6<6.6 so it's not spam. What I don't get is, where the 6.6 is set? How does that relate to the 70/33?

From what I remember reading somewhere in this forum, 100% is based on a score of 20. So 50% would be a score of 10, 33% would be 6.6 (20 x .33).

BTW, the level of spam coming into our business seems to be increasing every week. The stock pump scams and ****** spams are flooding our users. I am trying out greylisting. I have set the Kill/Tag levels at 50/10. I may need to lower these levels even more.

The lower the number, the lower the min kill % is.
