    Default Sending mail from the command line

    Hi All

    I have built a new Zimbra 7.2.0 server on Ubuntu 10.4 this weekend (was running v6 on Centos 5.5)

    I have a few scripts on the machine which backup via rsync and then email using the mail command. I remember I had to install and application on the old Centos box and then disable the service it installed to get this to work. Can anyone advise the best way to go here as I know if I get it wrong I could kill Zimbra. When trying to mail I get

    The program 'mail' can be found in the following packages:
    * heirloom-mailx
    * mailutils

    Thanks

    Glenn

    You don't need to install anything. Simply use the '/opt/zimbra/postfix/sbin/sendmail'. You could also create the following soft link, and then it should probably work with the 'mail' command itself.

    Code:
    ln -s /opt/zimbra/postfix/sbin/sendmail /usr/sbin/sendmail
