Default Why is "Software Updates" reporting on versions that are not installed?

I've been receiving daily emails from the Zimbra server with the subject "Critical updates are available for your Zimbra server". Inside was the following:
    Code:
    The following updates were found:

    1. critical. Version: 7.2.0_20120410002303_2669, URL: http://files2.zimbra.com/downloads/7.2.0_GA/zcs-7.2.0_GA_2669.UBUNTU10_64.20120410002303.tgz

    2. critical. Version: 6.0.16_20120404131807_2998, URL: http://files2.zimbra.com/downloads/6.0.16_GA/zcs-6.0.16_GA_2998.UBUNTU10_64.20120404131807.tgz

    Zimbra Updater
Hmmm. I had 6.0.13 installed. So I ran the upgrade to 6.0.16 this week, thinking this would fix the reporting. Instead, I am now receiving daily messages with the same subject and the following contents:

    Code:
    The following updates were found:

    1. critical. Version: 7.2.0_20120410002303_2669, URL: http://files2.zimbra.com/downloads/7.2.0_GA/zcs-7.2.0_GA_2669.UBUNTU10_64.20120410002303.tgz

    Zimbra Updater
Huh? Why is it telling me about updates to 7.2.0 when I have 6.0.16 installed? Is something broken or misconfigured? Is this how its supposed to work? Is there a way to silence notices about version 7 releases until I am ready to upgrade to 7.x?

you can disalbe the alerts in the admin interface, click on the Software Updates on the left menu

bdial thanks, but I don't think I made myself clear, sorry. I don't mind being reminded of updates that are available. That's a valuable service. I only want to find out why it is telling me that there is a critical update available for version 7.x when I'm only running version 6.x.

I'm afraid if I simply turn the alerts off not only will I not get notified about version 7.x updates, which I don't really care about now, but I'll also not be notified about version 6.x updates, which I do care about. That's not a fix that makes things better.

Is it normal for these notices to report on every available release regardless of which version a site happens to be running?

Doesn't appear to be a way. That being said, I'd be surprised to see any updates to 6.x
