My recent task is to upgrade the maximum message size in all our MTAs. It is well known that we shall add the zimbra encoding overhead based on the target size. Here are the details:
Target message/attachment size: 20MB
Overhead: around 40% - 20MB x 1.4 = 28MB
After the calculation I put the code in the test lab for testing:
After the configuration the outgoing mail size can tolerate up to 28MB with 20MB attachment.
su - zimbra
zmprov mcf zimbraFileUploadMaxSize 29360128
zmprov mcf zimbraMailContentMaxSize 29360128
zmprov mcf zimbraMtaMaxMessageSize 29360128
My question is:
In the web client, there is a notification message being displayed while attaching the file:
Note: Each attachment size limit is 28MB
This message bothers a lot and it seems to be the same value with "zimbraMtaMaxMessageSize". Does anybody know how to modify this message? Thanks a lot for the kind attention and assistance in advance.
