    Default The mailbox and mta status display red x in web interface but both seem to be running

    I can send and receive email just fine and a zmcontrol status indicates all services are in fact running...

    I tried installing patch 1 today but that doesn't seemed to have made any difference. I have spent a few days looking for things and have come across a few other forum entries that seem similar but so far haven't found anything that seems to apply to my situation. I'm attaching the results of a zmdumpenv. I'd be glad to send anything further that might be helpful.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    hi,

    try this (do it with all zimbra server, mailbox, mta, proxy...)
    ---
    Set Up the SSH Keys
    To populate the ssh keys, on each server, as Zimbra user (su - zimbra). Type
    zmupdateauthkeys and press Enter. The key is updated on
    /opt/zimbra/.ssh/authorized_keys.

    and

    Multiple-Server Installation


    1. For syslog:
    a. Edit the /etc/default/syslogd file, add -r to the SYSLOGD_OPTIONS
    setting, SYSLOGD_options=”-r -m 0”
    b. Stop the syslog daemon. Type /etc/init.d/sysklogd stop
    c. Start the syslog daemon. Type /etc/init.d/sysklogd start

    2. For rsyslog:
    a. Uncomment the following lines in /etc/rsyslog.conf
    $modload imudp
    $UDPServerRun 514
    b. Restart rsyslog
    ---

    Thank you for taking the time to respond. I ran the command with the following results:

    Updating /opt/zimbra/.ssh/authorized_keys
    
    [zimbra@lxtst8 .ssh]$ ls -lh
    total 12K
    -rw-r--r-- 1 zimbra zimbra 648 Aug 23 15:16 authorized_keys
    -rw------- 1 zimbra zimbra 668 Aug 14 12:26 zimbra_identity
    -rw-r----- 1 zimbra zimbra 611 Aug 14 12:26 zimbra_identity.pub
    I only have one server with all the Zimbra components installed on it. Am I correct then assuming that the rest of your suggestion doesn't apply in my case?

    so, you should wait for mod or admin in zimbra forums to respond, these commands is solved my case (i have 2 server-1 smtp - 1 mailbox),
    but did you restart your server after you apply these commands?

    yes, r/syslog does not need to apply, but i'm you, i will try, kaka

    You don't need to configure rsyslog or ssh keys with only one server.

    Check if SELinux or iptables are blocking the monitor to check the services.

    Well,I have observed this issue many times on my development machine. Everything is working fine from back-end but not seems to work from GUI. But I don't care about GUI for development or customization.
