Default zmamavisdctl is not running after clean installation

I am new to zimbra (an a novice to ubuntu and centos) and was installing the email server on my ubuntu 10.04 server on ESXI for a class project. zmamavisdctl is not running on the server and I checked the status for Zimbra services. I fixed the DNS and start the service but I keep getting this error :

Starting amavisd... The value of variable $myhostname is "zimbramail", but should have been
a fully qualified domain name; perhaps uname(3) did not provide such.
You must explicitly assign a FQDN of this host to variable $myhostname
in amavisd.conf, or fix what uname(3) provides as a host's network name!

I cannot find the amavisd.conf file and I thought it was in the /opt/zimbra/amavisd-new-2.6.6 directory. I have change the hostname so it would reflect on the FQDN and I an still recieving an error.

I am not an expert on linux or try to front that I am one. I am use to Windows and setting up basic home and small business server and Im getting my feet wet with this and want to learn more about Zimbra. Any Suggestions!!!!!
