We have a multi-server installation (zmta, zldap and zmail) for the mta, ldap and store respectively.
We would like to accept mail for firstname.lastname@example.org for these other boxes. The mail should *not* be routed to the respective box but should have their addresses rewritten as user@domainname and then accepted into postfix/zimbra as such.
Would these be virtual aliases? I'm coming from an iPlanet background so postfix is a little new. And as there is always more than one way to skin a cat, I'd prefer the way that allows the most flexibility. I don't want to create more domains within zimbra + accounts + forward addresses. We only have one domain.
Thoughts? Criticisms? Eye-Opening perspectives?
