    Default gal - global address list does not list other domains

    hello.

    I use zimbra 7.2.1 opensource-edition.

    following situation:
    I have configured two domains within my zimbra-installation:
    1) domain AAAAA.com
    2) domain BBBBB.com

    If a user from domain AAAAA.com logs into webinterface he only sees all AAAAA.com-Users in his global-adresslist - he does not see any user from domain BBBBB.com
    and of course:
    If a user from domain BBBBB.com logs into webinterface he only sees all BBBBB.com-Users in his global-adresslist - he does not see any user from domain AAAAA.com

    What do I have to configure that all users also see the users from other domains within their global-adresslist??

    Thank you very much.

    Cheers
    Christopher

    Solution:

    su -l zimbra -c "zmprov mcf zimbraGalInternalSearchBase ROOT"

    hmm - i fear i was excited to early :-(

    the GAL search now only works in the standard-domain. so every user of the standard-domain can search for all domains in GAL.
    but all other users (from other domains) still see only users from their domain.

    * do I have to run "zmprov mcf zimbraGalInternalSearchBase ROOT" for each domain? how?
    * does zimbra need a restart to take effect?

    what i already tried without success.

    a)
    restarting zimbra -> no change

    b)
    zmprov syg domain1.com | grep "name id" | wc -l
    zmprov syg domain2.com | grep "name id" | wc -l
    zmprov syg domain3.com | grep "name id" | wc -l
    -> all are showing the same value

    c)
    zmprov gd domain1.com zimbraGalInternalSearchBase
    zmprov gd domain2.com zimbraGalInternalSearchBase
    zmprov gd domain3.com zimbraGalInternalSearchBase
    -> all are showing ROOT

    i think i found the solution.
    GAL has to be synced again....

    zmgsautil forceSync -a galsync@domain1.com -n zimbra
    zmgsautil forceSync -a galsync@domain2.com -n zimbra
    zmgsautil forceSync -a galsync@domain3.com -n zimbra
