Zimbra 8 - OpenID
Does Zimbra 8 support OpenID ? Reading an old Zimbra 7 news release it states
Simplified End-User Authentication – VMware Zimbra 7 supports industry standard protocols for Single-Sign-On (SSO) via OpenID, Security Assertion Markup Language (SAML) and Kerberos.
so has it been pulled from ZCS now ?
These are the relevant bug reports for OpenID.
Thanks Phoenix; though quote a few of those bugs and engineering requests pre-date the news release for ZCS 7 http://www.vmware.com/company/news/r...imbraZCS7.html
Have also taken a look at my ZCS 8 and do find one consumer configuration elements available
Has the Zimlet been pulled from ZCS 8 for the time being while engineering work out issues ? I guess what I am looking for is a statement on its availability and use from Zimbra. Will open a support ticket.
[zimbra@office ~]$ zmlocalconfig | grep -i consumer
[zimbra@office ~]$ zmprov gs `zmhostname` | grep -i consumer
The OpenID Consumer server extension (not zimlet) continues to be supported. See /opt/zimbra/extensions-network-extra/openidconsumer/README.txt. The extension is currently available only in the network edition.
The Consumer extension also has an outstanding bug report for having this on the OSS version (for ZCS9). The Provider function also has an outstanding RFE, will this also be available for the OSS version?
