    Default Zimbra 550 550 No Such User Here

    Noticed the above error over the last few days and would like to resolve it:

    I can send email out from our zimbra internal server but cannot accept mail as the user mail account is shown
    as non existent.

    How can this be corrected?

    Logs below:

    Default

    Running Release 7.1.4_GA_2555.UBUNTU8 UBUNTU8 NETWORK edition.

    Cannot receive any external email for a number of days, have not made any changes to zimbra or the network plus the user account mailboxes exist.
    Zimbra mail server behind main firewall server.

    I checked this in postfix:
    disable_dns_lookups = no

    Only error message for non received external mails are from gmail mailer daemon and nothing in logs:

    I have searched other threads and some point to DNS issue, so what do I need to change in either postfix, zimbra or DNS?

    I have resolved this.

    The DNS for the mailserver was redirected to another IP/domain hence why no user mailboxes were found.

    I contacted the domain host provider and asked them to make a change to the MX record for this.

    If you cannot see any inbound mail traffic in the logs, it is a DNS issue so do an nslookup to see if the mail domain IP matches your actual DNS domain.
