Angry Disabling external IMAP/POP does not work

I would like to get mails on my smartphone.
Now i have configured my firewall and id works fine.
But i would also like that all other users are not able to acces via IMAP from extern.
I have disabled extern IMAP in the Zimbra admin gui but all users are able to acces there mails from external.
How can i prevent users from acces there mails from external ?
And how can i prevent users from sending mails from external ?

I think this is a big security problem.

Did you restart Zimbra? Why don't you just close the IMAP port(s) in your firewall.

Search the forums and the wiki for the word "restrict", you could have found all this information by searching the forums.

No, it's not really as sending mail is the purpose of a mail server.

I'm confusedby your response to my comment so perhaps you'd explain in a bit more detail what exactly you think you're disabling by doing this?

To stop the IMAP service, if that's actually what you're trying to do.
