Default Enabling a filter via a URL

    Hi,

Is there a REST or SOAP command which would enable or disable a filter?

I can do this using zmprov and therefore could write a small CGI app (outside of Zimbra) to call zmprov to do this.

The reason for this request is that I forward emails to my phone via a filter when I'm on the road but sometimes I forget to enable the filter via the web GUI - so I would like to enable the filter via a URL (which I would bookmark on my phone).

    thanks - Angus

    Default Not via REST

There's no REST command to do this. You can use the same SOAP command that the web client uses to enable/disable filters.

Thanks - how would I work out what the SOAP command would be?

    Default Debug window...

Open the debug window (search the forums for the URL you use to get the debug window to appear) and change the filters from within the web UI. The SOAP sent to the server should appear in the debug window.

For reference, a post on AJAX client debugging is here -
    http://www.zimbra.com/forums/showthr...ighlight=debug

OK, I get the debug window (using "$set:debug 3" in IE but not in FF and when appending ?debug=3 to the URL works in IE and FF) but the debug window is blank (except for the 3 panes and the Mark and Clear buttons).

I switched from mail to options and enabled/disabled a filter but the debug window is not updated.

The only thing that appears in the debug window was with FF when a red line appeared with "NEW RUN - [16:34:32.037]".

What else do I need to do to get debugging working?

Thanks again for your help - rgds - Angus

    PS - I'm using Release 4.0.3_GA_406.RHEL4_20061016134107 CentOS4 FOSS edition

Default URL is now more complicated...

I'm told that you'll now have to append "&debug=3&mode=mjsf" to the URL to get a working debug window.

    I presume you mean "?debug=3&mode=mjsf"

It still doesn't work - both IE and FF show a blank window after the logon process.

And I have cleared the cache as well in case that was causing a problem.

Use ?debug=3&mode=mjsf&gzip=false and disable your pop-up blocker.

You can also turn on debugging in zmprov and watch the SOAP from there.
