Default Admin console stuck waiting to load

    Hello,

Zimbra 8 open source installation on Ubuntu 10.04 LTE. It has been upgraded a few times and moved from 32 bit Ubuntu 8.x and Zimbra 6.x.

I upgraded to 8 this morning and all went well except now when I go to login to the admin console, if I enter a correct admin account/password, I'm stuck on "Loading" and it never goes further than that.

Not sure where to look to see what's going on. This happens on both a mac and a pc running safari, firefox and IE.

    Hello,

Got a similar issue with ZCS 7.2 on Ubuntu 10.04 LTS x64 and ZCS 8 on Ubuntu 12.04 LTS x64.
This happened one or two times on fresh install, and never happened after (haven't tried from another PC).

Have you tried just to go to the adress bar and push the enter key while it's loading ? This worked for me.

    Thanks.

Trying that and the best I get is in Chrome, seeing the three columns and then it jumps back to "Loading".

IE and Firefox just come back with "Loading"

i've wiped the browsing history in Firefox and Chrome without success.

    You're welcome.

Another idea: maybe it's a java related problem on Zimbra.
Does this happen too when you log on the webmail ? If it's the case, is it working when you choose the standard HTML version ?

One user is having issues with the AJAX webmail where things happen without her input. Click on a message to read and it goes into reply mode.... couple of other things.

    Going HTML fixed that.

How do you fix the java problem?

I just upgraded to 8.0.1. No happiness still.

Also upgraded java on the win 7 laptop, rebooted and cleared out the browser cache and not good either.

Any more ideas from anyone on what to look for/where to look?

There should hopefully be a log somewhere that is saying what's going on.
