    Default ldap data.mdb after upgrade from 8.0.0 -> 8.0.1 has a size of 85GB

    Hello

    After an upgrade from 8.0.0 -> 8.0.1 has my ldap data.mdb a size of 85GByte!!!!!!! from 3.4MByte
    Please tell me, we can i change the size to a smaller value.

    No it hasn't. Search the forums for some details of what's happend, it has already been mentioned.

    BTW, you really should post messages in the correct forum. I'll move this as it's not a question about Zimbra Desktop (which is where you've posted).

    It's Allocated disk. It does take up 85 Gig when backed up or rsync'ed to another server.

    That's why you've been told that using rsync is not the correct method of backing-up that file as you may end up with a corrupted database and you've also been given the correct method of backing-up that file - stop spreading misinformation.

    samgan@ no, it is really 85GB on my zimbra server.

    How can i make a backup from ldap (ldapcat ???) und make a new ldap database file?
