    Default Zimbra external POP

i guys, I'm trying to have my mobile users configured to pop zimbra mails to outlook via the internet
I used to do something similar with Exchange using the hosts files by adding the FQDN and the public IP
    Anyone with ideas?

POP3 is not a good experience for users (plus it removes mail from the server), I'd suggest using IMAP (or perhaps Zimbra Desktop) and point the client towards the Zimbra server and using the relevant port - it's no different than any other mail server.
    Regards

    Thanks Bill
However, how do i setup the imap acccess for outlook / Zimbra desktop so that users can access their mails over the internet?
Should i use the FQDN (mail.example.com) or the public IP for the imap settings?

    I appreciate the response

    Thanks

Exactly the same (almost ) as you would for POP3.

You should always use the correct url for the servers (not the IP address) and point the client to the IMAPS port (for security) and use 587 for the submission port (that will reauire authentication).
