Default zmsoap and Administration Console both report ArrayIndexOutOfBounds exception

    Hi all,

We have a working ZCA 8.0 appliance on VMWare ESXi 5.1 and everything is working well except for the Monitoring tools in the Administration Console.

Upon accessing any elements in the left-menu under "Monitor" within the Administration Console, the error "Message: system failure: java.lang.ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException: 5 " is presented in all cases. Graphs are not presented in any tab.

Further, when attempting to query statistics using zmsoap via the CLI, the same error is returned:

    Code:
    root@zimbra:/var/spool/cron/crontabs# /opt/zimbra/bin/zmsoap -z GetLoggerStatsRequest stats/@name=zmmtastats
    ERROR: service.FAILURE (system failure: java.lang.ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException: 5)
Turning up the verbosity seems to add few clues:

    Code:
    root@zimbra:/var/spool/cron/crontabs# /opt/zimbra/bin/zmsoap -vv -z GetLoggerStatsRequest stats/@name=zmmtastats

The logs /var/log/zimbra.log and /var/log/zimbra-stats.log are being populated without issue, and all other functions via the Administration Console and the CLI work without issue. We have users actively using the appliance with no complaints (other than slow SMTP responsiveness).

I've trawled the forums on this issue, but beyond issues around rsyslogd/syslog-ng mix ups, SSH key issues and some processes not running/hanging I am yet to find an answer. I have confirmed that all processes are running without issue, the zimbra user's crontab has correct ownership (and is being honoured) and am no closer to solving this issue.

Has anyone seen this issue before?

    Default

I'm having similar issues on ZCS Network Edition 8.0.3. I've recently upgraded from 7.0.2, and am in a multi-server config. I've got a ticket open with support, but haven't heard back yet.

I got this one: ERROR: service.FAILURE (system failure: java.lang.ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException: 3)

Just a piece of unsolicited advice, you should avoid running zm commands as 'root'. If the command starts with zm, assume that you need to run it as 'zimbra'--one notable exception being zmfixperms. If you've been running things as root, it's quite possible that you've goofed a permission, so you may want to run a /opt/zimbra/libexec/zimfixperms, and then do a zmcontrol restart (obviously this will take zimbra offline momentarily).
