    I wonder if you might try looking for either one of those ids in the mail_item table. Maybe we can figure this out from that.

    Ok - I've found the one with the ID 6482 in the mail_item but no success in any other table?
    Where does the WebGUI get the info "unread message" from?

    Sorry for the delay. mail_item.unread = 1 means the item is unread. Marking the item read sets the field value to 0.
