Default Closed Account SMTP Authentication & Send Only Machine Account

    Hi,

Is a closed account still can do SMTP authentication (SSL or TLS)? I want to make machine account which only can send but cannot receive. The machine must authenticate before sending e-mail to prevent the machine to use other accounts and for applications identification too (different account for each application). What is the best way for doing that?

    Best regards,

A closed account cannot do SMTP.

How I would accomplish this depends on whether these machines have static IP addresses. If so, add them to a firewall on the Zimbra server that blocks HTTP/HTTPS/IMAP/POP. Set a filter on the account to auto-discard any mail.
