am trying to achieve per user spamassassin bayes training and leveraging the existing Zimbra scripts. The problem I am facing is when I do
it pulls out 26 messages and then dies with
/opt/zimbra/libexec/zmspamextract -r -m myuser@mydomain -o /tmp/hambox -q in:Inbox -v
any thoughts on would could be causing it ?

Ah! I wonder if this is kicking in yet nothing in the sync.log DoSFilter - Zimbra :: Wiki
Even setting the server IP via
does not fix it :(
zmprov mcf zimbraHttpThrottleSafeIPs
This is https://bugzilla.zimbra.com/show_bug.cgi?id=83271
Note that you must restart each mailbox server after adding your MTAs to the zimbraHttpThrottleSafeIPs values. Then you can run zmtrainsa.
I was performing the actions on the mailstore and added its IP to the the Throttle variable. zmspamextract was calling against that node as-well when I viewed it in the debug.
mailstores supposedly whitelist themselves, so it shouldn't hit this error when run on a mailstore..
What version are you running? :)
Release 8.0.4_GA_5737.RHEL6_64_20130524120036 RHEL6_64 FOSS edition.
Ok, that's supposed to automatically whitelist the MBS servers. Try adding them to the throttleIPs as well, and see if that helps, is my next best guess. If that does it, there's a bug in the autowhitelist.
Unfortunately even after adding all the MTAs IPs' and localhost it still throws a 503 error :(
