    Default Zimbra and PAM LDAP?

I started working on a zimbra install for a small (5 users, but huge mailboxes) server last friday. It's up and running, and postfix accepts email but the MTA in Zimbra does not yet seem to deliver or receive email messages.

    Working thru that.

On a seperate note, I am wondering if it is possible to use the LDAP server that comes with Zimbra to act as a LDAP server for Linux authentication via PAM LDAP. Has anyone tried to do use Zimbra for that yet?

Assuming your PAM LDAP can specify a generic LDAP filter it should work.

That should definitely work, since we are using Open LDAP. If you have any trouble getting the PAM module to work let us know which one you are using and we'll help out with the config.

Will do so and I will provide a write up here. It will be a day or two before I get time to do so.

    Hi,

I use PADL nss_ldap and pam_ldap on RHEL4. Could you please show me the way to configure it?

    TIA,

Time commitments at work have gotten in the way of me actually trying this yet. As soon as I get a chance, I will let you know.
