Default Set Password for User "Zimbra"

    Hi Everyone,

I would like to set the password for user "zimbra" so when I execute su zimbra it prompts for a password. How is this done?

    Thanks for the help.

    Sincerely,

    Harold Robinson

-Sigh- If I was logged in as the "zimbra" user and you enter passwd it prompts for a password that does not exist. but IF i type EXIT and I am presented with the # prompt (root user) I can change the password that way. Sorry for posting this. You must be root user to change the zimbra password. then you can enter passwd zimbra and change the password.

but even though I changed the password it still DOES NOT prompt me for a password. Why?

First of all, the correct command to enter is the following:

    Code:
    su - zimbra
The hyphen is important for setting the correct environment. Second, the zimbra user is only accessible from the root user so unless there are admins you don't trust a password isn't really necessary.
