    Default Zimbra LDAP with sipXecs

    I've been trying to configure sipXecs to use Zimbra's LDAP configuration but it does not seem to work. Has anyone had success or used sipXecs with Zimbra? I'm able to get to the LDAP configuration page but I cannot seem to match up any of the attributes. Right now I'm just trying to match up the basic attributes but with no luck. Here is a screen shot of what I think are the right attributes.

    your searchbase is definitely wrong. "cn=zimbra" is the zimbra configuration tree.

    User information is under your domain "dc=x,dc=com" or whatever.

    Technically, a true LDAP app should be able to accept an empty searchbase "" (which is what Zimbra uses) to search anywhere in the tree.

    Well I figured it out. On the first page you have to configure the user to be uid=zimbra,cn=admins,cn=zimbra. Once that's done the search base should be ou=people, dc=yourdomain, and dc=com

    As I noted, having to define a base is broken (and goes against the LDAP RFCs).

    What would happen with sipXecs if you had multiple domains, for example, in zimbra?

    like:

    dc=blah,dc=org and dc=somethingelse,dc=com

    I would contact the product manufacturer and let them know of the severe deficiency and lack of standards conformance of their product.
