    Default memcached removal...

I'm trying to remove the memcached package and when I run the command:

    zmprov gs 'mail.server.com' -zimbraServiceInstalled memcached

    I get this error:

[] INFO: I/O exception (java.net.ConnectException) caught when processing request: Connection refused
    [] INFO: Retrying request
ERROR: zclient.IO_ERROR (invoke Connection refused, server: localhost) (cause: java.net.ConnectException Connection refused)

I have just performed an upgrade from 7.0 to 7.2.5 and have been unable to get it back up and running. Any ideas as to why I can't remove this?

Why is your server configured to talk to localhost?

Also, memcached would be unrelated to your issues. It is only used with proxy at this time, so even if it is installed, it has no effect as long as proxy is not also installed.

Not sure, I'm new to Zimbra and didn't do the original install. Did I do something wrong on the upgrade? What do I need to look at? When I try to do a zmcontrol start, it says everything is started, but then when I do a zmcontrol status, I get this:

    Host mail.affinitygm.org
    ldap Running
    logger Running
    mailbox Stopped
    zmmailboxdctl is not running.
    memcached Running
    mta Running
    snmp Running
    spell Running
    stats Running
    zmconfigd Running

    Any help appreciated, Thanks!

Check in /opt/zimbra/log as to why the mailboxd process is failing to stay up.

Not sure which log to look at, here is what is in the zmmailboxd.out file:

    Hi,

It appears that maxIdleTimeMs is unset, so jetty can't start. You can fix this by running:

    Code:
    zmprov -m -l mcf zimbraHttpThreadPoolMaxIdleTimeMillis 10000
if that doesn't fix it, then it was set to empty on the server specifically. You can fix that by

    Code:
    zmprov -m -l ms <server> zimbraHttpThreadPoolMaxIdleTimeMillis 10000

I've tried running both commands and it looks like I'm still getting the same error:

Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM warning: .hotspot_compiler file is present but has been ignored. Run with -XX:CompileCommandFile=.hotspot_compiler to load the file.

    Hello,

I'm receiving the same message as above... Were you ever able to resolve your issue? If so, what did you do? I tried the commands recommended by quanah with no luck...

For those that might hit this issue, I figured it out.

In my case, I had to edit the ldap database directly. Logged in as uid=zimbra,cn=admins,cn=zimbra. Navigated to Servers > <myserver> - found the zimbraHttpThreadPoolMaxIdleTimemaxIdleTimeMillis value, as well as zimbraMailUseDirectBuffers values and set them.
